component in achieving our Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit
Bharat by 2047. A facility such as this one, strengthens India’s capability in
high-voltage transmission equipment and supports our transition from a power-deficit
to a power-sufficient nation. Additionally, industrial investment of this
nature in Madhya Pradesh generates opportunity for the local youth and uplifts
communities. This facility from CG will create over 2000 direct and indirect
employment in Sehore. Our government will continue to ensure that every
investment proposal signed in Madhya Pradesh becomes a working factory on the
ground and continues to benefit the people of Madhya Pradesh.”

“India is on track to become the world’s third largest economy by 2030 and with
it the demand of electricity will increase. CG has been among the pioneers of
electrical infrastructure equipment including transformers and switchgears for
close to nine decades and this legacy is showcased at our new Sehore facility.
Built at scale to manufacture the world’s largest power transformers, this
facility will supplement the demand for power infrastructure equipment and also
contribute to exports.”
