Mango Festival 9.0 was inaugurated today on 4 June 2026 at NABARD Regional Office, Bittan Market, Bhopal. The event was graced by Shri Vishwas Sarang, Hon’ble Minister of Cooperation and Sports, Government of Madhya Pradesh, as Chief Guest. The program was attended by Ms. C. Saraswathi, CGM NABARD, Shri Manoj Pushp, RCS, Shri Dhiraj Goyal, GM SLBC, along with senior bankers, FPOs, farmers and stakeholders.
Mango Festival 9.0 is a flagship initiative of NABARD aimed at providing market linkage to tribal farmers supported under WADI projects. It showcases naturally ripened, carbide-free mangoes directly sourced from farmers, ensuring quality produce to consumers. The festival aims to strengthen market linkages, enhance farmer income, promote FPOs, and encourage value addition and agri-entrepreneurship.
The initiative is expected to significantly improve farmers’ income, reduce distress sale, expand financial inclusion, and strengthen the agri value chain. Mango varieties available include Amrapali, Dussehri, Langda, Kesar, Chausa, Neelam, Mallika, Totapuri, Rajapuri, Sundarja (GI tagged).
Chief Guest Shri Vishwas Sarang highlighted that mango cultivation and cooperative strengthening can boost farmers income and create sustainable livelihood opportunities.
CGM NABARD Ms. C. Saraswathi emphasized that the festival provides a vital platform for farmers to access markets, adopt innovations, and receive better price realization.
The general public is invited to visit the festival and purchase fresh mangoes from stalls at NABARD MPRO, Bittan Market, Bhopal. The festival will continue till 8 June 2026.
