Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Launched: Price, Specs and What’s New

Samsung has officially launched its new Galaxy S26 series of flagship smartphones. The launch happened as part of the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event on February 25, 2026. The new phones are expected to reach buyers in India soon and include powerful features and AI improvements.


Three New Models in the Series

Samsung introduced three smartphones in the Galaxy S26 line:

  • Samsung Galaxy S26 – The base model with a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED display.

  • Samsung Galaxy S26+ – A larger version with a 6.7-inch screen.

  • Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra – The top-end model with a big 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED display and advanced camera setup.

All phones are expected to run Android 16 with Samsung’s One UI 8.5 software out of the box. They also support 120 Hz refresh rate on their displays and include new AI-powered features for photography, productivity and voice assistance.


Camera and AI Improvements

The Galaxy S26 Ultra, in particular, is rumoured to have a 200 MP main camera, along with wide-angle and telephoto lenses for high-quality photos. Samsung is also focusing on advanced AI tools that help extra editing features and smart photography.

Samsung has introduced deeper Galaxy AI integration across apps like Notes, Gallery, Reminder and Clock, and users may be able to use voice commands such as “Hey Plex” to access AI assistance.


Expected India Prices

While exact Indian prices have not been officially confirmed, reports suggest the Galaxy S26 series could be priced roughly as follows:

  • Galaxy S26: around ₹79,999 – ₹82,999

  • Galaxy S26+: around ₹99,999

  • Galaxy S26 Ultra: starting around ₹1,29,999 – ₹1,38,999, rising higher for big storage options.

These prices are based on leaks and retailer expectations ahead of the official India launch.


Pre-Order and Launch Offers

Samsung has started pre-reservations in India with a refundable token amount. Early buyers may receive benefits like free storage upgrades or accessory bundles when they complete their purchase.

The phones will be available for purchase across Samsung retail stores and major online platforms soon after the official launch event.
