Xiaomi 17T Pro: Price, Specs, Launch Date and Everything Leaked So Far

Every year, Xiaomi releases two sets of phones. First comes the main flagship series, and a few months later comes the T series, which offers similar power at a slightly lower price. The Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro are the next phones in that T line.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro is rumoured to debut as early as May 2026, which places it roughly four months ahead of Xiaomi's previous T-series schedule. That is a notable shift, as Xiaomi has traditionally released its T-series devices in the fall window.

A promotional image hints at a campaign running from May 29 to June 30, 2026, suggesting Xiaomi could officially unveil the devices around late May, followed by availability shortly after.

This is important for Indian buyers too. If the Xiaomi 17T launches in India, it would be the first T-series generation to officially launch in the country.

Xiaomi 17T Pro: The One to Watch

Let us start with the Pro, since that is the phone most people are interested in.

Processor and Performance

The Xiaomi 17T Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The Dimensity 9500 is a 3nm chip and one of the most powerful processors available in Android phones right now. It is the same chip powering premium devices like the Vivo X300 Pro and the Oppo Find X9 Pro, so Xiaomi opting for it signals serious intent with the 17T Pro.

Display

The Xiaomi 17T Pro has a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with 1280x2772 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. That is a large, sharp, smooth display that should handle everything from scrolling social media to watching videos without any complaints.

Camera

This is where things get exciting. The camera system on the 17T Pro comprises a 50MP main shooter using the Light Fusion 950 sensor with f/1.74 aperture, a 50MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom and f/1.8 aperture, a 12MP ultrawide with f/2.2 aperture, and a 32MP selfie camera.

Leica tuning is also expected to be part of the package, a carry-over from Xiaomi's established camera partnership. Leica-branded cameras have been a defining feature of Xiaomi's premium phones for a few years now, and having that on the 17T Pro at this price point is a genuine selling point.

Battery and Charging

The Xiaomi 17T Pro packs a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging, up from 90W on the previous generation, and 50W wireless charging. That capacity represents a substantial jump over the 5,500mAh cell found in last year's 15T Pro.

In plain terms, this phone should last you easily through a full day and then some, and when it does need charging, it will fill up fast.

Size and Weight

The Xiaomi 17T Pro measures 162.2 x 77.5 x 8.25mm and weighs 219 grams. That is a fairly heavy phone, so if you prefer something lighter, keep that in mind.

Software

The 17T Pro runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3 on top.

Xiaomi 17T: The Standard Model

If the Pro feels like too much, the standard 17T is still a strong phone on its own.

The Xiaomi 17T has a 6.59-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip, 12GB of RAM, 256GB or 512GB of storage, and a 6,500mAh battery with 67W fast wired charging.

On the camera side, the standard 17T keeps a triple Leica-branded setup. It gets the Light Fusion 800 main sensor, while both models share the same 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and a 12MP ultrawide lens. The front camera is a 32MP shooter on both devices.

One thing to note: the standard 17T does not get wireless charging, while the Pro supports 50W wireless charging.

Price: How Much Will It Cost?

This is where the story gets a bit complicated.

According to a leak from tipster Sanju, the Xiaomi 17T will be priced at €749 for the 12GB and 256GB base model in Europe, with a 12GB and 512GB variant expected around €849. In India, the same tipster tips pricing at Rs 74,999 for the 256GB variant and Rs 84,999 for the 512GB variant.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro's 12GB and 512GB variant is said to be priced at €999 in Europe. That works out to roughly Rs 1,10,000 or more in India at current exchange rates, though the Indian price has not been confirmed yet.

The T series used to be Xiaomi's flagship-killer line, but with these prices it is moving very much into the premium high-end space, especially the Pro. For context, the Xiaomi 15T launched at €649 last year and the 15T Pro at €749, so both new models represent a price jump of around €100 over their predecessors.

Colours and Variants

The 17T Pro will be available in All Black, Deep Blue, and Deep Violet. These are not basic shades, and Xiaomi clearly wants the phone to look premium in person.

One important note for Indian buyers: a tipster mentions that the Xiaomi 17T Pro variant may not be introduced in India. If that turns out to be true, Indian buyers may only get access to the standard 17T.

Should You Wait for the Xiaomi 17T Pro?

If you are in the market for a phone in the Rs 90,000 to Rs 1,10,000 range, the 17T Pro looks seriously competitive on paper. A top-tier Dimensity 9500 chip, a massive 7,000mAh battery, Leica cameras with 5x zoom, a 144Hz display, and 100W fast charging is a strong package.

The main questions that remain are whether the Indian launch happens at all for the Pro, what the final India pricing looks like, and how it performs in real-world use once reviews come in. All of that should become clear by June 2026.

For now, the leaks paint a picture of a phone that is more expensive than before but also more capable than before. Whether that trade-off is worth it depends entirely on what you are looking for.
