Bollywood horror franchise Ragini MMS is coming back with a new film titled Ragini 3, and popular actors Tamannaah Bhatia and Junaid Khan are set to lead the cast, according to recent announcements.
The movie is being produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, the banner owned by Ekta Kapoor, which brought audiences the earlier films in this franchise. The project will be directed by Shashanka Ghosh, who has worked on films like Veere Di Wedding and Freddy.
Ragini 3 is being described as a date-night horror film that aims to mix thrills, mystery, humour, and entertainment. The makers are keeping the full story details under wraps for now, but the film is expected to balance fear with stylish visuals and engaging scenes.
This will be the first time Tamannaah Bhatia and Junaid Khan appear together on screen. Tamannaah has worked across Hindi and South Indian films and is known for a range of roles, while Junaid Khan, son of actor Aamir Khan, has acted in films like Maharaj and the romantic comedy Loveyapa.
The Ragini MMS series began in 2011 and became popular for combining horror with modern storytelling. Its second film, Ragini MMS 2, was released in 2014 and drew attention for its bold style. The new installment is expected to restart the franchise for today’s audiences with a fresh look and updated approach.
There is no official release date yet, but fans are already excited to see this new version of the horror series when it reaches theatres.
