Mumbai - Kansai Nerolac Paints
(KNPL), one of the leading paint companies in India is adding a festive twist
to the season with a rendition of its iconic “Jab Ghar Ki Raunak Badhani Ho”
jingle. Music producer and internet favourite Yashraj Mukhate brings his
signature flair to the tune, which has been a part of Indian households for
over three decades, giving the much-loved melody a fresh, celebratory spin.
Since 1990, the jingle has been an integral part of
Indian households, festive preparations and celebrations, becoming a tune
synonymous with how India remembers the festive season. Over the years, Kansai Nerolac
has reimagined the jingle for each generation while preserving the melody that
people grew up with. This latest version brings the tune into a new musical
space, shaped by Yashraj Mukhate’s distinctive style of giving familiar notes a
surprising twist.
Bringing this fresh musical treatment to life on-screen,
Yashraj gives the festive edition a playful, lively touch. The DVC celebrates
new colourful homes, cherished relationships and the spirit of Diwali, carrying
the energy of the season. The result is a fresh, high-energy take that holds on
to the nostalgia while speaking to a younger audience and a new generation.
Every Diwali, Indian homes come alive with colour, music,
lights and people, with the Kansai Nerolac jingle continuing to be a cherished
part of that picture. The campaign launches as India enters the festive season,
when families get together, redecorate and reconnect.

Commenting on the campaign, Ramkrishna Naik, CMO, Kansai Nerolac Paints
Limited, shared, “Nerolac jingle
is one of those melodies that isn’t just remembered, it gets sung along too.
This festive season we wanted the jingle to sound just as vibrant as the
celebrations. With Yashraj Mukhate’s fresh take we are honouring the legacy and
have given a new rhythm to that familiar tune, so that it stays dear to those
who grew up with it and wins over those hearing it for the first time.
On
his association, Yashraj Mukhate said,
“Reimagining a song that people can finish word by word is the best kind of
challenge, along with a lot of responsibility and excitement. I left the part
that people love exactly as it is and built new layers of sound around it,
surprising people with beats they didn’t see coming. I hope it brings a smile
this festive season. If you catch your feet tapping before the first verse
ends, I’d say we’ve done our job.
