Godrej Consumer Products Limited Reports Strong Q1 FY27 Performance with 19% Revenue Growth and 11% Profit Increase

MUMBAI – Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL), a leading emerging markets FMCG company, today announced its financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. Demonstrating robust operational resilience, the company recorded a consolidated sales growth of 19% year-on-year, driven by an underlying volume growth (UVG) of 9%. Consolidated EBITDA for the quarter rose by 14% year-on-year to achieve a 19.0% margin, while consolidated net profit grew by 11% year-on-year, reflecting healthy earnings quality despite near-term commodity and crude volatility.

The company's Standalone business delivered steady results with sales expanding by 12% to ₹2,535 crore, supported by a 7% volume growth and a 10% increase in EBITDA to ₹548 crore. The Home Care and Personal Care segments recorded strong growth rates of 12% and 11% respectively, backed by market share gains across core categories such as Household Insecticides, Air Fresheners, Hair Colour, and Soaps. Expanding its foothold in fast-growing sectors, GCPL successfully scaled its 'Godrej Spic' Toilet Cleaner pan-India and announced its entry into the ₹3,000-crore liquid dishwash category with the launch of 'Godrej Rizz' in select states.

International operations delivered exceptional performance across key regions. The Indonesia business resumed its growth trajectory with a 15% increase in sales and 10% volume growth. Meanwhile, the Africa, USA, and Middle East (GAUM) region achieved an impressive 47% sales growth (25% in constant currency terms) and a 42% surge in EBITDA. The strong momentum in Africa was propelled by a doubling of media investments, strong performance in Hair Fashion, and the successful expansion of Air Fresheners and Household Insecticides.

Commenting on the performance, Sudhir Sitapati, Managing Director and CEO, GCPL, stated that Q1 FY27 represented a strong start to the financial year despite a challenging macro environment. He highlighted that the company's speed boats—such as Godrej Fab, Goodknight Incense Sticks, and Godrej Aer—continue to grow rapidly, while new entries in body wash, face wash, and toilet cleaners are making significant progress toward becoming scalable growth platforms. With input costs beginning to ease and top-line growth tracking ahead of initial expectations, GCPL remains confident in meeting its full-year guidance and driving sustained, profitable growth.
