National : ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), a
globally recognised professional accountancy body, has announced the winners of
its
flagship national case study competition ACCA Case Masters 2025 competition
- Redefining the Accountant. This national-level business case study challenge brought together
some of India’s most promising undergraduate B.Com and BBA students,
demonstrating the rising calibre of future finance professionals across the
country.
Open to students from universities and colleges nationwide, the
competition aims to provide a unique platform to demonstrate financial acumen,
strategic thinking and problem-solving skills in real-world business scenarios.
Through this initiative, ACCA aims to bridge the gap between academia and
business, offering students an opportunity to step beyond the classroom and
into the world of professional accountancy.
The 2025 edition received an exceptional response with 244 team
registrations, of which 168 teams completed their submissions. After a
rigorous evaluation process, 35 teams advanced to Round 2, the strongest teams
competed in the final presentation round and winners were announced on 27
November 2025. Their work reflected deep analytical thinking, commercial
awareness, and the ability to apply accounting and finance principles to
real-world business challenges.
This year’s finalists presented solutions to a case based on VoltTech
Motors (VTM), an electric vehicle manufacturer in Corlandia.
The case explored themes such as governance, internal control weaknesses,
strategic partnerships, sustainability reporting, and the adoption of AI across
support functions. Students were assessed on analytical depth, clarity of
communication, problem-solving skills, and their ability to translate technical
insights into practical recommendations.
At the felicitation ceremony, ACCA announced the three winning
teams whose performances stood out for their clarity, rigour and business
insight. The first prize was awarded to The
Strategic Syndicates from Poornima University, Jaipur, whose compelling,
well-structured presentation, sharp research and confident responses impressed
the judging panel. The second prize went
to Fusion from Loyola Academy Degree & PG College, Hyderabad,
recognised for their strong analytical depth, seamless narrative flow and
ability to translate data into meaningful business decisions. The third prize was secured by The
Strategists from Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce, Pune, who
delivered a polished presentation with clear articulation of key risks and
well-supported, practical recommendations.

As part of the recognition, students from the top three teams
received certificates and complimentary access to ACCA’s globally recognised
online learning courses. Members of the winning team were awarded three courses
each, the runners-up received two courses, and the third-place team received
one course each, enabling them to further strengthen their technical and professional
skills.
