Backed
by 70-year legacy, accelerates investments in next-generation infrastructure
and automation
Mumbai: Godrej Enterprises Group’s (GEG) Storage Solutions business marked 25
years of its Chennai manufacturing facility, a key pillar in enabling India’s
industrial growth and strengthening its logistics backbone. Backed by over 70
years of expertise in intralogistics, the business announced continued
investments across its Chennai and Bengaluru facilities to accelerate
innovation, automation, and next-generation warehousing infrastructure.
As India’s economy expands, driven by e-commerce, quick
commerce, and manufacturing, warehousing has emerged as a critical pillar of
supply chain resilience, efficiency, and competitiveness. Godrej Enterprises
Group has built a strong leadership position in storage and intralogistics
solutions, operating as a true “industry of industries” that underpins India’s
economic expansion and supply chain modernisation.
Over time, the Chennai facility has evolved into a core
manufacturing and engineering hub, anchored in operational discipline and
continuous capability expansion. It has strengthened its ability to deliver
complex, large-scale intralogistics solutions with speed and precision,
supported by a robust ecosystem of customers, partners, and suppliers. Today,
it stands among the largest and most advanced intralogistics manufacturing
facilities in the region, producing high-precision systems that enable automated
and high-density warehousing environments.
The business continues to strengthen its capabilities through
automation-led manufacturing, precision engineering, and integrated digital
design-to-delivery systems, alongside ongoing enhancements at its Chennai
facility and capacity expansion in Bengaluru. These investments are enabling
faster execution, higher precision, and scalable delivery of complex,
large-scale intralogistics solutions.
