Indian women dominate the World Boxing Cup Finals, winning multiple top finishes and highlighting strong performance in international boxing

India had a historic performance at the World Boxing Cup Finals 2025, held in Greater Noida. The country won a total of nine gold medals, and the women boxers were the driving force, winning seven of those titles.

Leading the charge were two-time world champion Nikhat Zareen (51kg) and reigning world champion Jaismine Lamboria (57kg). Other women who struck gold included Minakshi Hooda (48kg), Preeti Pawar (54kg), Arundhati Choudhary (70kg), Parveen Hooda (60kg), and Nupur Sheoran (80kg+).

On the men’s side, Sachin Siwach (60kg) and Hitesh Gulia (70kg) won gold, adding to India’s impressive medal tally.

By the end of the tournament, India had won 20 medals overall: 9 golds, 6 silvers, and 5 bronzes. This strong performance put India at the top of the medal table, ahead of other competing countries.

Officials from the Boxing Federation of India praised the athletes’ discipline, skill, and fighting spirit. They said this result shows how India is emerging as a major force in world boxing.

The standout performance by the women, especially, indicates a rising strength in Indian boxing. With strong contenders across weight categories, India’s boxers are making a mark on the global stage.
