A serious accident took place on Sunday afternoon when a luxury Lamborghini car hit pedestrians and several vehicles on VIP Road in the upscale Gwaltoli area of Kanpur. At least six people were injured in the incident.
The car involved is a Lamborghini Revuelto worth around ₹10 crore, owned by the family of a local businessman. Police said the car was allegedly being driven by Shivam Mishra, the son of tobacco trader KK Mishra.
What Happened
The accident occurred at about 3.15 pm near Rev-3 Mall. According to police and eyewitnesses, the speeding Lamborghini first struck an auto-rickshaw, then ran into a parked Royal Enfield motorcycle. The impact was so strong that one of the bike riders was reportedly thrown nearly 10 feet into the air before the car came to a stop against an electric pole.
Pedestrians and bystanders who were on the footpath were hit as the car went out of control. Several people suffered cuts, fractures and bruises and were taken to a private hospital for treatment. One seriously injured man, Taufiq, was thrown a considerable distance and hurt his legs.
After the Crash
Angry locals surrounded the car and did not allow the driver to leave the spot. Witnesses said private security guards with the driver behaved aggressively and tried to push away people gathered around the scene. Police reached the spot and took control of the situation, rescuing the driver and helping the injured.
The damaged Lamborghini has been seized by police, and an FIR will be registered based on the complaints and evidence. CCTV footage and witness accounts are being reviewed as part of the investigation.

Shivam Mishra, the man driving the Lamborghini during the crash, is the son of KK Mishra, a well-known tobacco businessman in the region. The family’s wealth and luxury lifestyle, including ownership of expensive cars and assets, have drawn public attention after this incident.
Local residents have expressed anger and concern over reckless driving and the danger posed by high-performance vehicles in busy city areas. Discussions have also begun about accountability and road safety.
