The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a 32-year-old man from Faridabad, named Soyab, making him the seventh person detained in connection with the November 10 blast near the Red Fort in Delhi. Investigators say Soyab worked as a ward boy (compounder) at Al-Falah University and is accused of providing shelter and logistical support to the suspected suicide bomber, Umar Un Nabi, shortly before the explosion.
What the Authorities Allege
-
According to NIA, Soyab hid Umar at his sister-in-law’s house in the Nuh region, and later in other locations, giving him safe accommodation ahead of the attack.
-
Soyab is also accused of helping Umar move around and possibly assisting in logistical arrangements for the blast.
-
This latest arrest expands the circle of suspects and helps investigators trace the support network behind the bombing.
