Bentley Unveils New Continental GT Supersports, Limited to 500 Units

Bentley has revealed the new Continental GT Supersports, a high-performance version of its famous luxury coupe. The company has confirmed that only 500 units will be made, making it one of Bentley’s most exclusive modern cars.

A More Driver-Focused Bentley

This new Supersports is designed differently from the usual Continental GT. For the first time, Bentley has made the car rear-wheel drive instead of all-wheel drive. This change is meant to give drivers a more engaging, sporty experience.

The car is also much lighter than previous Bentleys. It weighs under two tonnes, which is rare for the brand and helps improve speed and handling.

Power and Performance

The Supersports comes with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that produces around 666 bhp and 800 Nm of torque. According to the company, the car can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of around 310 km/h.

To reduce weight even further, Bentley has removed the rear seats and used lightweight materials across the cabin.

Aggressive Design and Aerodynamics

The car features a bold aerodynamic kit, including:

  • A large front splitter

  • Carbon-fibre side skirts

  • A big rear diffuser

  • A fixed rear wing

These upgrades help the car stay stable at high speeds and improve cornering performance.

The braking system is also extremely powerful, with huge carbon-ceramic discs and multi-piston calipers for better control.

Interior and Features

Inside, the Supersports has a two-seat layout with sporty, lightweight front seats. The interiors use carbon-fibre, Alcantara, and other performance-oriented materials. The car also has a slightly lower seating position to give the driver a more connected feel with the road.

Each of the 500 units will have a unique number, adding to its exclusivity.

Launch Timeline

Bentley says that bookings for the Continental GT Supersports will open in March 2026, and deliveries are expected to begin in early 2027.

What This Means

The new Supersports shows Bentley’s shift toward more performance-focused cars. It combines luxury with racing-style engineering, making it one of the most exciting models the company has launched in recent years.
