Bhopal: AU Foundation, the CSR arm of AU Small Finance Bank (AU SFB), India’s
largest Small Finance Bank and the first in over a decade to receive
in-principle approval to transition into a Universal Bank, has further
strengthened community healthcare infrastructure by supporting People’s College
of Medical Sciences & Research Centre with a state-of-the-art
ventilator.
At a ceremony held at the hospital’s campus in Bhanpur in
Bhopal, AU Foundation handed over the Draeger Savina 300, an advanced
intensive care ventilator designed to deliver precise and reliable respiratory
support to critically ill patients. This addition is expected to significantly
enhance the hospital’s intensive care capabilities, enabling timely and
effective treatment for patients requiring life-saving respiratory
intervention.
This initiative reflects AU Foundation’s continued commitment
to strengthening last-mile healthcare access and improving the quality of
critical care infrastructure, particularly in high-demand public healthcare
ecosystems.
People’s College of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, a
1,500-bedded tertiary care teaching hospital under People’s University,
serves a large and diverse patient base across Madhya Pradesh. As a key
healthcare institution for both urban and semi-urban communities, the hospital
plays a vital role in delivering accessible and affordable medical care in the
region.
Through such interventions, AU Foundation aims to go beyond
traditional CSR by building resilient healthcare systems and enabling
institutions to deliver better patient outcomes at scale. This initiative
reinforces AU’s larger vision of being a ‘Forever Bank’, one that is deeply
committed to creating sustainable community impact and enabling progress beyond
banking.
