Cochin : The
Security Solutions business of Godrej Enterprises Group has been awarded a
marquee contract by Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL), to deploy Next‑Gen
gates and perimeter security system across key access points of the Airport.
This project includes installation of state‑of‑the‑art Under Vehicle Scanning
Systems (UVSS) integrated with Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and
high‑performance Tyre Killers. This integrated security system shall
significantly enhance vehicle screening, deterrence, and access control at the
airport.
Under the mandate, installations will be carried
out across the entry and exit Gates
of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, ensuring end‑to‑end monitoring of all
incoming and outgoing vehicular movement. This marks CIAL’s first large‑scale
implementation of a Vehicular access system, thus reinforcing the airport’s
commitment to elevated aviation security standards and strict compliance with
BCAS (Bureau of Civil Aviation Security) guidelines.
With this deployment, every vehicle entering the
designated airport zones shall undergo an automated undercarriage scan through
the UVSS platform, enabling deeper screening accuracy, real‑time threat
identification, and stronger perimeter protection. The integration of ANPR
shall further strengthen traceability through stricter audits, thus ensuring
regulatory alignment.
This project is a major milestone for Godrej
Enterprises Group’s Security Solutions business, as it expands presence in the
aviation security segment across in the country, especially Kerala and South
India.
