Odisha : On
the auspicious occasion of Jagannath Rath Yatra, Mr. Anil Agarwal, Chairman of
Vedanta Ltd, extended his heartfelt greetings to people across the country and
reflected on the timeless values of faith, humility and selfless service
associated with Lord Jagannath.
Sharing his message, Mr. Agarwal
recalled the revered legend behind the creation of the idols of Lord Jagannath,
Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra. According to tradition, Lord Vishwakarma,
disguised as an elderly sculptor, undertook the task of carving the divine
idols on the condition that no one would open the door until the work was
complete. However, driven by concern and curiosity, the king opened the door
before the stipulated time, leaving the idols in the unfinished form in which
they are worshipped today.
Reflecting on the significance of
this story, Mr. Agarwal said that Lord Jagannath's unique form reminds us that
true devotion is not measured by outward appearances but by the purity of one's
heart, sincere love and unwavering faith. He added that the story inspires
people to look beyond limitations and recognise that inner strength and
determination are far more important than external circumstances.
Mr. Agarwal also shared that Lord
Jagannath's blessings have always guided him. He said that every visit to the
sacred temple reinforces the importance of serving society and those around us
with humility, compassion and a spirit of selfless service.
Praying for the well-being of
all, Mr. Agarwal wished that Lord Jagannath bless everyone with happiness,
prosperity, good health and peace, while strengthening the spirit of faith and
devotion among people across the world.
