Gurugram : Saatvik Green Energy Limited has secured Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification for its N-TOPCON bifacial G12R solar module, becoming one of the few Indian solar manufacturers to publish independently verified EPDs under The International EPD System. The certification, based on comprehensive Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) conducted in accordance with ISO 14025 and EN 15804 standards, demonstrates Saatvik’s module achieves a low life-cycle carbon footprint globally vis-a-vis publicly available EPDs for modern TOPCon solar modules.
The EPD quantifies the
environmental impact of Saatvik's solar module from raw material extraction
through manufacturing, use, and end-of-life disposal. The N-TOPCON bifacial
G12R module delivers up to 625 Wp power output with an efficiency of 23.12%.
Based on the EPD, the module reports a cradle-to-gate global warming potential
of 0.379 kg CO₂-eq/Wp, positioning it within the lower range of values reported
for modern TOPCon solar modules.
This combination of high efficiency
and low life-cycle carbon footprint enables customers to maximize clean energy
generation while minimizing environmental impact, an increasingly important
consideration as procurement standards across global markets place greater
emphasis on verified sustainability credentials and transparent environmental
data.
Commenting on the milestone, Mr. Prashant Mathur, CEO, Saatvik Green
Energy Limited, said: "Securing
EPD certification reinforces our commitment to transparency and responsible
manufacturing. By providing independently verified environmental data, we
empower our customers and partners to make informed decisions aligned with
global sustainability standards. This certification demonstrates that
cutting-edge solar technology and low-carbon production go hand in hand and
it's a testament to our manufacturing excellence and India's growing leadership
in sustainable energy solutions."
