Amplifying its commitment to provide enhanced retail
experiences and make great design accessible for modern Indian homes and
workspaces, Interio by Godrej, a leading furniture brand from the Godrej
Enterprises Group, is targeting a market share of 25% in Bhopal over the next three years. The brand expects to clock revenues of
₹22 crores from Bhopal in FY26, registering an overall growth of 15 % in the
region.
The
‘Moments That Matter’ study, conducted among 2,600 respondents across key
cities in northern India, highlights a strong preference for comfort and
routine within the home. The findings show that 95% of respondents say they
sleep best in their own bed, reinforcing the home as the primary space for rest
and recovery. This extends to end-of-week behaviour, with 69% of respondents
indicating that Friday evenings are best spent unwinding at home. Additionally,
83% of respondents resonate with moments centred on relaxation and ease, while
around 75% associate the home with structured daily routines, reflecting the
role of domestic spaces in enabling both comfort and stability in everyday life.
Commenting on the same, Dr. Dev Narayan Sarkar, Senior
Vice President and Head of Consumer Business, Interio by Godrej, said, "The ‘Moments That Matter’ study offers insights into
how residents in Bhopal are engaging with their homes as spaces of comfort,
routine, and well-being. Bhopal is emerging as a promising Tier-2 market,
supported by improving connectivity, infrastructure development, and a growing
base of working professionals and families. Developments such as expanding road
networks, upcoming metro connectivity, and a strong industrial and educational
ecosystem are contributing to sustained residential demand.[i] This is reflected in
the growing demand for organised, modular, and full-home solutions. With 40 new
stores planned and a revenue target of ₹300 crore from the Northern market, we
are committed to being present in every home where life's most meaningful
moments take shape."
Interio currently operates a strong retail and distribution network in Bhopal,
with 7 showrooms, 45dealers and 150 retailers, alongside a wider presence
across Northern Market. Following rebranding, Interio’s positioning is centred
on addressing the needs of modern Indian homes, extending its offering beyond
furniture to more comprehensive home solutions with a focus on comfort,
craftsmanship and long-term usability. The brand further plans to open 5 new
franchise stores and add 75+ retailers in Bhopal by FY29 aimed at improving
market access across both established and emerging locations. In parallel,
Interio is enhancing its retail formats through a multi-format strategy,
creating more experiential stores supported by a seamless omnichannel journey
that integrates digital discovery with physical retail.
Dev further added, “We plan to open 45 new dealer stores and add 75+ retailers in Northern
Market by FY29, aimed at improving accessibility across both urban and emerging
markets”.
Interio continues
to expand its product portfolio with offerings such as Upmods, expandable
dining tables, Kreation wardrobes, and Modunest, designed to address the needs
of compact homes and evolving space requirements. The brand has also
strengthened its home offerings with the launch of a soft furnishings range,
aimed at enabling quick and accessible home upgrades, with a targeted revenue
of ₹5 crore from this category. In the kitchen segment, Interio’s recently
launched Steel Chef range caters to the mid-premium market, offering modular
steel kitchens designed for durability and efficient space utilisation.
