engine, has reported a significant rise in consumer searches related to waste
management and sustainability-focused services across India. The analysis
compares search volumes between April 2024–March 2025 and April 2025–March
2026, highlighting growing awareness and adoption of environmentally conscious
practices among consumers and businesses alike.
At a national level, Waste Management Service
searches increased by 36%, indicating a rising emphasis on organised waste
disposal, recycling solutions and sustainable waste handling practices. Delhi
emerged as the strongest growth market with a notable 61% increase, followed by
Bangalore at 35% and Pune at 34%. Mumbai recorded a 26% rise, while Chennai and
Hyderabad saw increases of 28% and 25% respectively, reflecting strong momentum
across major urban centres.
Parallelly, searches for Scrap Dealers grew by
21% pan-India, signalling increasing consumer participation in recycling and
responsible disposal practices. Chennai led the category with a sharp 41%
increase, followed by Bangalore and Delhi at 26% each. Hyderabad witnessed a
23% rise, while Pune and Mumbai recorded increases of 19% and 18% respectively.
The data reflects a broader shift towards
sustainability-driven consumer behaviour, with individuals and businesses
increasingly seeking services that support recycling, waste reduction and
environmentally responsible practices.
