: TATA AIG General Insurance Company Limited today
announced the launch of Accident Super Guard Plus,
a flexible personal accident insurance solution designed to provide
comprehensive financial protection against unforeseen events.
The
comprehensive policy’s launch comes amid rising accidental risks in India. As
per the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways’ Road Accidents in India – 2023
report, the country recorded 4.8 lakh road accidents and 1.73 lakh fatalities
in 2023, reflecting a 4.18% increase in accidents and 2.61% rise in deaths
year-on-year. Notably, pedestrians, cyclists and two-wheeler riders accounted
for nearly 68% of fatalities, highlighting the need for stronger
Accident
Super Guard Plus is built to address this protection gap through a modular
design that allows customers to align coverage with their income, liabilities
and lifestyle risks. The policy provides financial protection against
accidental death, permanent total disability and permanent partial disability,
along with reimbursement of medically necessary in-patient hospitalisation
expenses arising from accidents, including defined pre- and
post-hospitalisation coverage.
The
product also offers optional covers such as Loan Shield, EMI Protection and Pet
Care, enabling customers to safeguard ongoing financial commitments. It
incorporates future-focused benefits for dependent children, including child
education support, academy sessions, surviving child benefits and marriage
expense support. In addition, value-added assistance services such as financial
and legal counselling and disability management are included to support families
beyond immediate claims.
The
policy is available for individuals and families, with tenure options of up to
five years. Salaried professionals are eligible for an additional premium
discount.
