Chola Foundation Partners with Smile Foundation to Support 1,250 Flood-Affected Families in Assam

In line with Chola’s commitment to disaster relief, employees actively participated in relief operations

Assam : Chola Foundation, in partnership with Smile Foundation, conducted a relief and assistance drive to support flood-affected communities in Assam. Under this initiative, 10 flood-affected areas across the state were covered, benefitting over 1,250 families. The objective was to address the daily essential and hygiene requirements of the flood-impacted households.

Under the initiative, dry ration, hygiene kits, and other essential items were distributed, with special attention given to women, children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.

The relief efforts were planned in coordination with local authorities and local community leadership to ensure that assistance reached the most severely affected individuals. Chola employees in Assam actively volunteered to assist in the distribution of relief materials while adhering to safety rules and guidelines issued by district authorities.
