Sehore: As hundreds of
students began their academic journey at VIT Bhopal University, industry
leaders and the University's leadership came together to welcome the incoming
batch during the Fresher's Orientation Programme for B. Tech CSE (Core) and BBA
students. The event featured Dr. Sujay Sen, Executive Vice President &
Chief Creative Officer, Global Head, Interactive Services, LTM, as Chief Guest,
and Mr. Sandip Singh Sasan, HRPP & OT, Construction Civil Infrastructure
Industry, as Guest of Honour, among other invited dignitaries.
The event took place under the
leadership of Chancellor, VIT Bhopal University, Dr. G. Viswanathan, and
supported by Vice President Dr. Sankar Viswanathan, Assistant Vice President
Ms. Kadhambari S. Viswanathan; Trustee Mrs. Ramani Balasundaram. Vice Chancellor
Prof. Satish Kumar Modh, and Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr T B Sridharan addressed the
freshers, while later in the day, Swami Prabuddhananda Saraswati, Acharya Chinmaya
Mission Indore, joined as Guest of Honour, and Ms. Niharika Gulyani gave a talk
as a distinguished alumna.
Welcoming the students and
distinguished guests, Dr. Sankar
Viswanathan, Vice President, VIT Bhopal University, encouraged the incoming batch to embrace their university years as a
period of exploration, innovation and personal growth. He urged students to
build strong academic foundations, remain open to interdisciplinary learning
and develop the adaptability needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving world,
while making full use of the University's research ecosystem, industry
partnerships and opportunities for holistic development.
Addressing the students, Dr.
Sujay Sen encouraged them "Artificial
Intelligence is reshaping every industry, but creativity, critical thinking,
and adaptability will remain your greatest strengths. Stay curious, creative,
embrace innovation, and make the most of VIT Bhopal University’s research
ecosystem to become future-ready professionals and responsible leaders."
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sandip
Singh Sasan highlighted "Your
journey from campus to corporate begins today. Beyond technical knowledge,
employers value communication, teamwork, ownership, and problem-solving. Learn
from every opportunity, because the skills and attitude you develop at VIT
Bhopal University will define your professional success."
Following the inaugural session,
the dignitaries participated in a tree plantation drive on campus, symbolising
the University's commitment to sustainability and green campus vision. Students
also attended a session by distinguished alumna Ms. Niharika Gulyani, (Batch
2024- B. Tech. AI&ML).
“My journey at VIT Bhopal taught me that every classroom lesson,
project, and challenge contributes to your growth. Stay curious, seize every
opportunity, and believe in your potential—the experiences you gain here will
shape a rewarding and successful career”.
Later in the day, Swami
Prabuddhananda Saraswati, Acharya, Chinmaya Mission Indore, addressed the
students as Guest of Honour, speaking on "College
is not just about academics; it is where you shape your character, values, and
purpose in life. Stay humble, keep learning, respect every opportunity that
comes your way, and remember that true success is measured not only by what you
achieve, but by the kind of person you become."
The orientation programme for the
other UG programmes in CSE Core and BBA marked the beginning of the students'
academic journey at VIT Bhopal, introducing them to the University's academic
ecosystem, values and opportunities for holistic development.
