Building on the success of the Phone (4a) series, Phone (4b)
delivers an all-around experience unique to Nothing, featuring a Snapdragon
processor, a 120Hz Super AMOLED display and a 50MP OIS main camera - all
powered by Nothing OS and Essential AI tools.
LONDON: London-based consumer technology brand
Nothing today unveiled Phone (4b), the first smartphone in the (b) series and a
new entry point to the Nothing product ecosystem. Building on the success of
the Phone (4a) series, Phone (4b) combines Nothing’s signature design with
powerful everyday performance, intelligent software and long-term reliability.
It features Nothing’s Glyph Interface,
category-leading Snapdragon processor performance, the largest battery ever in
a Nothing smartphone, a 50MP OIS main camera, a 120Hz Super AMOLED display, and
Nothing OS - one of the most distinct and loved Android experiences - along
with Essential AI tools.
Eye Candy Design
Phone (4b) blends two defining design
elements of the Phone (4a) series: the new Glyph Bar introduced with Phone (4a)
and the highly acclaimed unibody design of Phone (4a) Pro. The result is the
purest expression yet of Nothing's design, bold, instantly recognisable and
unmistakably Nothing. Selected from more than 20 internal design iterations,
the final design balances visual simplicity, comfort and durability while
establishing a distinct identity of its own.
Every detail has been engineered to
enhance both form and function. True to Nothing's design philosophy, Phone (4b)
combines contrasting materials, textures and colour tones to create depth,
character and visual precision throughout the device. The crystal-clear soft
polymer camera module features smooth 3D curved edges that transition
seamlessly into an eco-polycarbonate unibody, finished with a durable
three-layer coating for a comfortable, fingerprint-resistant feel. Built to
withstand up to 600 Newtons of bending force and rated IP64 for dust and water
resistance, Phone (4b) is designed for everyday durability without compromising
on aesthetics. Available in Black, White and Blue, each colourway has been
carefully crafted to showcase Nothing's signature transparent architecture.
Limited RCB Edition
As the main title sponsor of RCB, and to
celebrate the club's historic second IPL title, Nothing is introducing the
Phone (4b) RCB Edition in partnership with Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Finished in an exclusive red colourway with bespoke RCB branding and
collector's edition packaging, it is the first official RCB smartphone
collaboration. The Phone (4b) RCB Edition will be available today through an
exclusive drop at Nothing's Flagship Store in Bengaluru.
The Glyph Bar, Refined
Stay informed without constantly checking
your screen. The signature Glyph Bar returns in a cleaner, more refined form on
Phone (4b), continuing to deliver an experience unique to Nothing. Featuring 45
individually controlled mini-LEDs with brightness of up to 3,500 nits, it
provides notifications, charging progress, recording indicators, and
personalized alerts with exceptional clarity. By surfacing what matters at a
glance, the Glyph Bar creates a more intuitive, less distracting way to
interact with your smartphone.
Powered by Snapdragon
At the heart of Phone (4b) is the
Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, Qualcomm’s latest 4nm mobile processor, delivering
performance close to the Phone (4a) and an AnTuTu score of over 1 million.
Built on an advanced 4nm process, it offers improved sustained performance,
greater power efficiency, and enhanced AI capabilities compared to older 6nm
platforms. Paired with Qualcomm's 6th Generation AI Engine, it accelerates
on-device AI across photography, voice recognition, and the full Essential AI
tools, enabling faster, more responsive everyday experiences without relying on
the cloud for core AI functions.
Nothing’s biggest ever battery
Phone (4b) ships with the largest battery
ever included in a Nothing smartphone. The smartphone features a 6000 mAh
battery, 11% larger than Phone (4a) Pro, tuned specifically for the usage
patterns and climate conditions of the Indian market.
Phone (4b) delivers up to 18 hours of
mixed usage, one hour more than Phone (4a), including up to 22 hours of YouTube
playback and 26 hours of Instagram browsing. Its 6,000mAh battery features
Nothing's impact-resistant Safe Cell Technology, retains up to 90% capacity
after 1,200 charge cycles (around three years of daily use), and supports 33W
wired fast charging, reaching 50% in under 30 minutes and a full charge in just
over an hour.
Flagship-Grade Thermal Management
Phone (4b) features a bespoke 4,400mm²
vapour chamber with a precision architecture tailored to its internal layout,
delivering thermal performance comparable to Phone (4a). It keeps the device
running up to 2°C cooler during demanding workloads, reducing thermal
throttling for sustained performance in gaming and 4K video recording. Combined
with Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, Phone (4b) supports up to 90 FPS in BGMI and CODM, and
120 FPS in titles such as Subway Surfers and League of Legends: Wild Rift.
Masterful Photography at Every Level
Building on the acclaimed camera
experience of the Phone (4a) series, Phone (4b) features a 50MP OIS main camera
that delivers exceptional detail and natural colour reproduction. Combined with
optical and electronic image stabilisation (OIS + EIS) and a 360° ambient light
sensor, and 119° ultrawide camera, it captures sharper photos, smoother videos
and more accurate exposure and white balance across a wide range of lighting
conditions.
Powered by Nothing's TrueLens Engine 4,
Phone (4b) features Ultra XDR imaging that combines 13 RAW frames to produce
brighter highlights, richer shadow detail and more accurate colours than
conventional HDR. Typically reserved for flagship smartphones, Ultra XDR brings
advanced computational photography and more natural, true-to-life images to
Phone (4b).
4K Video, OIS and Dual Capture
Phone (4b) records 4K video at 30fps,
powered by the combined strength of OIS, EIS, and AI anti-shake, delivering
smooth, stable footage without the need for additional equipment. It also
introduces dual video capture to the segment for the first time, allowing users
to record simultaneously with the front and rear cameras, while freely
repositioning the selfie window anywhere on screen for greater creative
control.
Filters, Presets and Creative Tools
Phone (4b) introduces a range of creative
tools designed to make photography more expressive, including exclusive Disco
and DV filters for both photos and videos, Signature Presets for instant
stylistic control, and Playground for discovering new creative looks.
A Vivid Super AMOLED Display
Phone (4b) features a 6.77-inch Super
AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 1,200 nits outdoor
brightness, and 2,000 nits peak brightness, with HDR10+ support. Super AMOLED
enables deep blacks through per-pixel light control and vibrant, accurate
colour reproduction.
With 2,000 nits peak brightness, the HDR
experience becomes significantly more impactful, highlights are rendered as
intended, with greater nuance and clarity, rather than appearing crushed or
clipped at lower brightness levels. A 1,000Hz instant touch sampling rate
ensures an ultra-responsive experience, delivering precise control and smoother
performance, especially in gaming.
Audio Built for Immersion
Every part of Phone (4b) has been
designed with the user experience in mind, including audio. True dual stereo
speakers deliver clear, balanced sound with impressive depth, with 20% better
stereo effect than Phone (4a). Nothing's unique 160-level volume control
provides far greater precision than conventional volume systems, making every
adjustment feel natural and effortless.
Nothing OS 4.1
Nothing OS 4.1, built on Android 16,
brings the complete Nothing software experience to Phone (4b), with refined
animations, smoother interactions, 160-level volume control and the new
Soundscape Widget for personalized ambient audio, delivering a faster, more
intuitive everyday experience. Built for longevity, Phone (4b) comes with 3
years of Android updates and 6 years of security patches, the longest software
support in its segment. It also features pixel-level micro-shifting technology
to help prevent AMOLED burn-in, extending display life through intelligent
software optimisation.
The Complete Essential AI tools, Without
Compromise
Phone (4b) brings the complete Essential
AI experience without compromise, including native ChatGPT integration across
the UI, clipboard and widgets, alongside Google Gemini, Circle to Search and
Hey Google. Powered by the Essential Key, users can instantly access Essential
Space, Essential Search, Essential Voice, Essential Apps and Playground, making
it easier than ever to capture, organise, search and create, all with the same
AI experience available on Nothing's flagship devices.
Built to Last, Built Responsibly
Phone (4b) is manufactured on
high-precision, thousand-level cleanroom production lines and undergoes 68
quality control protocols across more than 95,000 tests to deliver up to four
years of optimal daily performance. Built with sustainability in mind, it has a
carbon footprint of just 54.7 kg CO₂e, incorporates recycled materials
throughout its construction and comes in over 99% plastic-free packaging
(excluding the PET paper composite label).
